Voice & Recording
When you talk to Nova.
Nova is an AI assistant. When you talk to her on this site, here is exactly what happens — and what doesn't.
Last updated September 21, 2026
01Nothing until you tap
Nova can't hear anything until you press the orb or the microphone and your browser asks for, and gets, your permission. You can mute her at any time, or skip the microphone entirely and type.
By starting a voice conversation you agree to it being processed as described here.
02What happens live
Your audio is streamed to ElevenLabs, which turns it into text and speaks Nova's replies. The replies are written by a language model from Anthropic, called through ElevenLabs. That's all the audio is used for.
03What's kept
- Your voice: not recorded, not stored.
- The text transcript of the conversation: kept for 30 days so we can see what people ask and improve Nova's answers, then deleted automatically.
- A phone number you confirm on Nova's call card: kept so a founder can call you back, as described in the Privacy Policy.
05Deleting a conversation
Want a transcript gone before the 30 days are up? Email privacy@usehero.ca with roughly when you spoke to Nova and we'll delete it. Last updated September 21, 2026.
